From May onwards, until there are no more flowers left in the fields, I will run a series of workshops on photographing flowers. Not with a macro, but with any other lens you may have. Like a zoom.
I managed, today, to have a little time to do some more testing of the close focus capacity of the new EF 100-400mm from Canon. I wrote here before that my macro could stay home many times. Well, it surely looks like that. And you ain’t seen nothing yet!
The new EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II USM shows why buying a lens is, some times, more important than buying a new camera. While I’ve not yet had the chance to fully try it, the first images show that I made a wise choice buying it.
Next weekend I am taking some people out to a place that asks for a Black & White treatment, so this may be a good time to talk about the absence of colour. And suggest some presets for Lightroom or Photoshop.
